Isabella!
Allie and Mary Evelyn! From Minden
Dear Kristin... (DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN??? Read the post below!)
Dear Kristin,
I am wiping the tears and yelling, "Jeff, Jeff, our proofs are here!", as I open your email.
You are a magician. You have the magic gift to make time stand still. So often I find myself saying, I wish I could just freeze frame this moment.. make time stand still in this exact second..only so I can feel the unconditional love and deep contentment and happiness for just a second longer...feel the blessings rain down. You capture the blessings so vividly that I am literally transported back to that day..that moment to remember how the grass and pinecones felt under my feet, how Addy smelled and how gentle her butterfly kisses were, the strength I felt when I leaned against Jeff's chest. Sometimes during our day in, day out, mundane routines, I forget how extraordinary and rich our life is. I will cherish this day and these portraits forever. Thanks for working your magic with us!!!
So Sincerely,

The Leaumonts! From Alexandria!

SO..... if I were to give an award for most BLOG loyal, and most ENCOURAGING, and for most KIND on yucky days... the" Kristin Mosura Photography Loves You" Award would have to go to Rebecca Leaumont. Some days I open my email and BAM...she hits me with a kind thought. Some days when I post one of my rambling winding nonsense things... BAM, RL zaps me with her "Amen sister!" And just when I get a tad weary of little things... there she is again..... sending me a pick me up.
What a treat to have the opportunity to see Addyson again. AND believe it or NOT--- hubby resisted the deer camp, fishing boat, and duck hunts and came in tow with his lovely ladies!
Having met the "girls" for a shoot almost 2 years ago.... it was completely amazing to have the opportunity to put the family piece of the puzzle completely together. Even though I think their first session was fabulous and that it documented the love R has for A completely... seeing Rebecca with her husband, the father of her child, the love of her life. Her pillar, her joy, her rock, her baby girl's Daddy.... well that was great! It was like seeing the whole picture! and To see Addyson IN LIFE with her Dad.. playing the games they ALWAYS play, smiling the smile she ONLY gives to him, laughing the laugh that little princesses do when their Daddy is chasing them in circles... that was God sent. God made this family and He is evident in their lives. He just borrowed me for the moment to make sure someone was there to snap the shutter....
Sorry to ramble, but Rebecca's encouraging words to me have impacted my journey in this career... and I wanted to be sure that she knew that her session , to me, was one that I didn't take for granted. I appreciate the person she is, and the encouragement she has chosen to be to me....

Powerful motivator...
Almost made me want to return to teaching.... but it DID remind me that I can believe in the kids IN MY HOUSE. I can believe they can do ANYTHING. My kids CAN do hard things..and do them well. My kids and YOUR kids CAN be anything they want to be. WE can propel them forward with encouragement, smiles, life coaching, and kindness....
Thanks Melissa for the link...

My Mason

Just a cute kid.
Growing up so fast.... it is incredible! The baby of the family, but the bulldog of the group. One of the "Mosura" perks is that Mason's daddy owns a magazine...so every so often our kids grace the cover...whooo hooo! Watch out Pottery Barn!
November is Mason's month. Tuesday night we dug out the corduroy jacket and long sleeve shirt from our winter box of clothes. We tromped and marched over the ninja swords, play guns, tonka trucks and lots of mud to the back fence.. and shot the cover. Sometimes at OUR house...we take the camera for granted. But this image just covers my heart like the first sip of hot chocolate in the winter. ahhhhhhhh....so sweet and wonderful. That HE would loan me these kids to raise... amazing and overwhelming. I am SO blessed and so thankful. Mason, man, Mama LOVES you like you have NO idea. I just love EVERY freckle on that nose, and I LOVE playing with your hair when you sleep. You were the surprise of a lifetime ( :)) and the coolwhip on my dessert. Stay strong and determined, live life to the fullest... and remember that Mama loves you....
ahhhhh......Sam

Just Joy.

What expression do I LONG to find in all life's little moments?
Joy.
Pure Joy
Untainted Joy in Life
For the Moment now
not for the before or what is to come
but for the now.
THE INSTANT of now.
Shouldn't we all live for the NOW?
Shouldn't we all lift our hands and dance for what IS?
My Joy is great! and so is hers.
Again, this sweet child has no idea the impact she made on me. To be included in moments like these, are priceless. To witness the love this family has for each other and too see this sweet little one sweet angel
twirl
twirl
twirl
and smile
and laugh
with PURE joy...
I was honored to have this opportunity. It doesn't seem right though, that they called wanting me to do them a service, and the end result? I was the one that received the greatest blessing......
THE HUTSON FAMILY

Just as I am... that is what she seemed to be saying to me. I saw her to my side as I was photographing her sister. I just had to go be a part of this moment. The moment where she just was. I want to be her for one moment and have the joy of life like she knows.
She is God sent, God created, and PERFECT. This was my joy - this moment with her. People say my photographs change their perspective of life. Well ...THIS MOMENT with Sarah, changed my perspective of that moment. It was like a quiet exclusive invite to be her friend. She knew I was still photographing her...but she stayed and let me catch her...just being her. Thank you sweet angel. Thank you.

Words to think on...
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
When they are NOT looking....

that seems to be the time that it hits you...
That they are growing up.
That they have your nose.
That they are amazing and incredible.
That you are glad they are big, but miss that they are not small.
That today is almost over, and yesterday is gone..and that tomorrow will be here and they will grown up.
When they are NOT looking at us... we see them in a different way.
We reflect on how perfect Our Father is...
For allowing us the priveldge of raising them...
For allowing us these quiet moments with our kids...
When they are not looking AT us...
We seem to SEE them more clearly....
These two images just hit me today...
Life is precious and today is almost over.
So...love the ones your with....
Thank you to Leigh W for allowing me the HONOR of photograping Machen and Kyleigh.....

The Horton Trio

Not very often do I get to use my gifts to SURPRISE others. However, thanks to Robyn Horton's sister Emily, husband Shawn, and her three precious kids (and mine for not spilling the beans!).... it was a JOY to surprise my friend Robyn Horton with a "Happy" for her birthday. Robyn is our children's minister at FBB. Even if I could count the hours she spends each week at work...it wouldn't put a dent into the amount of hours she spends praying for my kids and others. What a true blessing to have her helping Mike and I raise three amazing kids in a really crazy world. So Happy Birthday friend! Thank you for ALL you do for EVERYONE you know!

Looking for a new computer???
3 months later....Kristin Mosura does not have a computer that works.... brand new computer- bought from their store in May, has been back in 5 times for repair. They will not refund my money, nor do I have a working system.... so BEWARE. I was trying to support a local small business, then I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and let them correct the issues one after another but the computer kept crashing and the hardware still isn't functional and the software has had compatibility issues........ and I am surprised at the lack of concern or empathy from the owner. I am super surprised that a small business owner wouldn't want to correct an issue like this. I am so sad to write this blog........ I would have rather had a working computer and customer service with a smile.

Rachel and JP..... and Ben...and Mom... and Dad!

and I think I need to shout out a Happy Birthday to BEN!

What GORGEOUS ladies!!!

And ...I PERSONALLY know how hard it is to get a family portrait of your own family accomplished. SO when I saw a few white tops on the family members... we did some quick changes into tshirts for the others...... and WHA-LA... a masterpiece! Well maybe not a masterpiece, but Lisa can certainly scratch family portrait off her "Mom of Three" to-do list.

The Trio.........

Thanks guys for a fun night- You three are amazing kids.. and your family is awesome! -km
Adirondack Chair??
First person to find a childs size adirondack chair (white or natural) for me to borrow... gets a SURPRISE! I need it asap....
